Son Drops Dog Lawsuit Against Mother For $15,000
An Aurora man who sued his mother to force her to return a whippet he said she had stolen from him gave up the dog and the fight Monday after she agreed to pay him $15,000.
Robert and Carol Larson sued his mother, Linda Larson, charging that she had refused to return their 12-year-old dog, Mitchell, when they returned from vacation in June. The couple said they had left the dog with Robert's sister and that family members schemed to keep it away from them by sending it out of state.
The case is not over for Linda Larson. She's due in DuPage County court Wednesday on a charge of harassment filed by her son, who said she had made threatening phone calls to his home.As part of the settlement, both sides have agreed not to have any "harmful contact" with each other. The Larsons said they doubt there will be any contact with his mother--at least for a while. Link
