Richard Zaranek Principal Stole Sued by Schools

A former elementary school principal in Chippewa Valley Schools and his wife own at least five residences or properties, including a Florida condominium, of which four have been frozen so he can repay money he stole from the district.



Former principal Richard Zaranek, who has pleaded guilty to criminal charges in federal court, and his wife, Patricia, own a $1.1 million home in Grosse Pointe Farms, where he resides, as well as a condominium in Vero Beach, Fla., a cottage in Hillman, unknown property in Hillsdale and vacant parcel in Wales Township St. Clair County.
